We are committed to making demsarvioline.si accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with different kinds of disabilities. The site is designed following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and in the spirit of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and Slovenian accessibility legislation.
The site is built against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and the harmonised European standard EN 301 549. Where it can be done without harming the design, we also apply newer WCAG 2.2 recommendations (target size, focus not obscured).
Semantic HTML, proper heading structure (h1–h3) and landmark regions. Every interactive element is keyboard-reachable with a clearly visible focus ring. Text contrast meets 4.5:1 for normal body text. Form fields have persistent visible labels and error messages in text (not colour alone). We honour the 'prefers-reduced-motion' system setting and reduce animations in that case. Fonts are self-hosted, with no calls to third-party networks. The site remains usable at up to 200% text zoom without horizontal scrolling.
We use a readable sans-serif body font (DM Sans) with a generous line height (at least 1.5), left-aligned body text (no full justification), comfortable line length and clear paragraph structure. Content is written in plain language. Browser text-spacing overrides (WCAG 1.4.12) are supported. We do not use auto-playing video or flashing content.
Some decorative elements (e.g. background section numerals and warm-toned workshop photography) have lower contrast by design; these are not essential to understanding the content. Older archival photographs may lack detailed descriptions. If you encounter a barrier preventing access to information, please let us know and we will provide the content in an accessible form.

This statement is voluntary: the Slovenian Act on Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications (ZDSMA) is mandatory only for public-sector bodies. The European Accessibility Act (EAA) provides a service-related exemption for micro-enterprises (fewer than 10 employees and annual turnover up to EUR 2 million). Despite the exemption we aim for good practice and WCAG 2.1 AA conformance.
We regularly test accessibility using automated scanners (axe-core, Lighthouse) and manual keyboard testing. The date of the most recent review is given at the top of this statement.
